And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

Acts 13:22 (KJV)

To be a person after God’s heart, we must pursue Him:

Passionately

We must serve God diligently and with passion. Don’t stop serving, teaching, witnessing, coming to Sunday school. Do not merely fulfil your duty of filling a space on a pew. We should not be like the church in Laodicea that is mentioned in the book of Revelation.

15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Revelation 3:15-16 (KJV)

Prayerfully

Prayer is intended to come from our heart not our mouth. (Matthew 6:7, Romans 8:26-27, Daniel 3:17-18)

Productively

We must productively fulfill God’s will. (Acts 13:22, Ephesians 5:17) If you’re not sure what God’s will is, you should at least know what’s NOT His will. (2 Peter 3:9)

If you want to live productively in the Lord you must be diligent in witnessing. (Romans 10:14-15)

Let us decide to live out our faith productively.
