And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Joshua 24:15 (KJV)

Make a Choice

Joshua’s first challenge is to make a choice. In the same way that Joshua would challenge the people of Israel, let us also challenge ourselves today to make a choice because no man can serve two masters. (Matthew 6:24)

Since the day you accepted Him as your personal Lord and Saviour, He has chosen to bless you with gifts and talents. For a purpose. Each one of us has a unique purpose here on earth.

Serve the Lord

  1. Count your blessings – only by the grace of God.
  2. Count me in – not our ability but our availability that counts.
  3. Count on God – His grace will be sufficient without fail.

Make a Commitment

  1. Even though the whole world may serve other gods.
  2. Even though I have just a few days to live.
  3. Even though there are so many other important and urgent decisions to make.

Who are we going to serve?
