Taiwan (Dumbrique Family)

Dear Pastor Resty and Beloved Bible Baptist Church HK,

Greetings you from the heart of Asia, Taiwan!
Colossians 4:7-15 is a list of Paul’s faithful partners in the Gospel ministry. He was able to accomplish the God-given missions task because of these people who sacrificed their lives to support him. Likewise, I and my family are thanking God for faithful churches, like you, who have been generous and thoughtful for the Gospel ministry here in Taiwan. The fruit of your sacrificial and generous giving and prayers is seen in this 3rd quarter  update. Thank you for your love! Our good Lord bless you all abundantly as He promised in  Philippians 4:18-19.

Praying for you always,
Msnry Elmer & Mrs. Annabelle Dumbrique
John 14:15
Praise the Lord for 18 Filipinos who professed faith in the Lord this quarter—14 factory workers plus 4 students from Philippine Normal University who came to Taiwan for internship. I have also started a Bible study with Tanya, a   Filipina Muslim, who is seeking for the truth. Our class is every Tuesday to Saturday. Please pray for her salvation.  Pray also for the salvation of Ibrahim, a Muslim from Turkey, whom I met in the campus. I was able to share the Gospel with him although he did not profess faith but he said he will think about the Gospel message he heard.

Our English Summer Camp held last August 8-13 was attended by 9 high school students on the first day but only 4 completed the course. I shared the Gospel to them on the last day which led to the salvation of 2 students, Eleanor & Johnny. I just felt deeply saddened with the response of one student, named Elizabeth, who said she is not scared to go to Hell and she doesn’t care if she goes there—a typical response from Buddhists. Please pray for her salvation. After the camp, thankfully, a follow-up Saturday English Discipleship class with Eleanor has been started.

Praises be to our Lord for these Filipinos who followed the Lord in water baptism, on July 23 for sisters Caren and Rosa and on September 3 for bro. Jhun.  Sis. Rosa went home to the Philippines for good already, thankfully she got saved and  baptized before going home.

I praise the Lord that my prayer for a Bible Institute has already been started this year.  Our only one student, Brother Roy, a Taiwanese        professional and a member of a Shuang He Baptist Church, decided to quit his job and surrendered to be a full-time missionary. I have been given the privilege to train him on Evangelism (Tuesdays) and teach him Bible doctrines (Thursdays). And by God’s grace, God is now using him in reaching his fellow Taiwanese to Christ.
