In today’s busy and troubling times of pandemic, we often get carried away and forget the foundational reason for our faith. The reason being:
- Fear
- Desires in wrong places
- Self-management
- Misuse of our individual soul liberties
- Self confidence
- Being spoiled in earthly matters
- Wrong presumption
- Being occupied in troubles
These are among the many reasons we forget foundational truths about faith. So, what exactly should we remember, and how easy it is easy for us? We always forget!
Jesus wept (John 11:35)
- Compassion for the suffering

He was nailed on the cross boring our sins. He had no sin of his own. He was buried and rose again the third day, conquering sin and death so that you and I could have eternal life.
Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
- We should be rejoicing because of our privilege. (Colossians 1:15-17)
- Power in defeating our enemy the devil.
- The will of God for you will be obtained through prayers. (Philippians 4:6-7)
How powerful is prayer?
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
John 14:13-14 (KJV)
God is glorified also in answering your prayers. Be prayerful to be powerful.
Rejoice evermore (1 Thessalonians 5:16)
A Christian is to rejoice evermore for this is the will of God. Salvation and the growing knowledge of the gospel when applied by the Spirit will enable the Christian to rejoice evermore.
Here, we have three shortest verses in the Bible which are full of powerful facts in it. Whenever we seem to forget and losing faith, remember these three points:
- Jesus wept.
- Pray without ceasing.
- Rejoice evermore.
