Dear Pastor Noveno & Church,
We thank you all for your faith and the sacrifice that you make each week so the Gospel of Christ be preached in all the world. The Apostle Paul exhorts us, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Indeed, the harvest is here, and we rejoice over it. To God be the glory!
Below is our latest newsletter from the mission field. God bless you all!
Anniversary. Praise the Lord for the victory the Lord gave us during our Church Anniversary last November 28th. It was a great Sunday to celebrate 17 years of God’s faithfulness in protecting and prospering His church in the midst of all the challenges and trials she has faced through the years. We were reminded to continually trust in God’s power, provision and providence, and to draw comfort from them in these last days.
Salvation. As the Covid-19 situation here in Taiwan got better toward the end of 2021, church attendance picked up again, and we were able to witness to more people and saw some come to the saving knowledge of the truth.
One of those people who got saved and baptized recently first heard the gospel from a stranger he met in a train station. Months later the Lord led him to our church, where he heard again the gospel message. This time the Lord opened his heart and saved him. The man’s story and testimony reminded us about what the Lord said in John 4:38. He said, “I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.”
It is true that someone plants the seed; another one waters it; but it is “God that giveth the increase.” While we are labourers together with God, only He deserves the glory and praise!
Baptism. Hanniel 林昊勳 (boy in picture) was one of those people we baptized last quarter. Both his parents are faithful members of our church. He got saved during one our VBS programs in the summer. At his baptism he invited his friends and their parents to witness his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. What a blessing to see this boy grow spiritually!
